Privacy Policy

This policy covers the quittingzyn.com website and the SnusFree mobile app (together, "the Services"). The short version: what you log stays on your phone, there are no accounts, and we collect as little as possible.
The controller responsible for the Services is Miguel Cepeda, Erismannstrasse 34, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland (see the Impressum).
Data the app stores on your device
Everything you enter in the app — onboarding answers, every logged pouch and its strength and time, tin purchases and spend, your taper plan, marked pouch-free days and your settings — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers; we don't operate any. Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no account and no sign-up.
Health information
Some of what you log — nicotine use, symptoms during withdrawal, weight — is health-related and sensitive. It is treated exactly as described above: it stays on the device, it is never transmitted to us, and the app neither reads from nor writes to Apple Health / HealthKit or Google Fit.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier, your purchase history for this app and basic device information — never your name, email or payment details, which stay with Apple or Google. Data the website processes
The website is a static site hosted on Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) to operate and secure the service. The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.
Children
The Services are not directed at anyone under the legal age for nicotine purchase in their country, and never below 18. We do not knowingly process the data of minors.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the Swiss Data Protection Act and the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because your log lives only on your device, you can exercise deletion at any time by resetting your data in the app's settings or uninstalling it. For purchase data, contact us and we will forward the request to RevenueCat.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged in the app or on this site.
